Early this morning there was a multi-vehicle crash on Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville involving a multi-ton gasoline truck carrying an estimated 8,500 gallons of gasoline. Authorities claim that there were five people injured, one of which is considered to be serious.

The severely injured citizen was airlifted by helicopter to the Morristown Hospital where they are receiving treatment.

The crash reportedly took place at around 8:20 this morning after the gasoline truck flipped over on its own, crashing into two more cars.

The crash took place just outside of Bernardsville Middle School and Bedwell Elementary school resulting in the two schools being put on shutdown, not allowing anyone out to keep the students and faculty safe. The surrounding houses, however, were evacuated. The School of St. Elizabeth had to be evacuated as well

For now, authorities are asking everyone to stay away from the area of the crash until they can learn more and get it under control.
