The restaurant was established in 1972, catering to family-friendly dinner dining experience, however, the century-old building originally stood as the Claremont Hotel in 1878. After decades of accommodating worn-out travelers, The Station transformed in 2006, to its original historical nature. Now, the building has apartments for people to rent out to live above the Station.
This much-loved restaurant has been in business for almost 2 decades. It offers its customers a variety of delectable dishes. From fresh salads to burgers and delicious weekly specials, The Station has something to offer for everyone.
The Station happily welcomes many customers everydays, greeting them with their wonderful service. General manager of The Station, Geraldine Infantolino says, “A business day, with takeout and the bar, we serve around 300 to 400, but an event is much more, also”.
The Station aims to make its customers feel warm and welcomed when dining at the restaurant. Open from Mondays through Saturdays from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm and on Sundays from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm, The Station works hard to make as friendly an environment as possible. trying to make as friendly of an environment as possible.
Infantolino continues to explain, “At the Station, we try to create a family, friends, and children atmosphere, with american bistro food”.

Gianna Ferrante ‘28, who recently dined at The Station, said, “The service there was incredible. All the servers are super friendly and the overall vibe of the restaurant is really pleasant”.

Infantolino says, “I just think that we keep it more down to earth and more family oriented”.

Gianna Ferrante, ‘28, continues by saying, “Not only was the service great, but the food was delicious”.
Geraldine recommends the calamari, as it’s her “signature”, as well as their more famously known burgers. The Station is also very well thought about because of their mouthwatering fish tacos and their very tasty salmon.
The Station, as it’s approaching its 19th anniversary since its reopening in 2006, will continue to serve as a Bernardsville local favorite. With the impeccable service tied along with their delectable food and very affordable prices, The Station is definitely a top choice for those who are visiting or live in Bernardsville.
