It’s amazing how so many singers get nominated for their talent especially Stephen Sands who was the Bernards Middle School music director. Stephen has been nominated for a 2025 GRAMMY award for his role as chorus master and being a soloist in Benedict Sheehan’s Akathist songs, which was recorded at Trinity Church in New York City.
Kristen Sands, Stephen Sands’s wife, says, “It is so exciting to be nominated. It’s such a special moment to appreciate those who work hard to become nominated for the Grammys and possibly win! Can’t wait to go!” The Grammys will also be an opportunity to honor more than just artists in traditional categories. This year, the Academy will spotlight achievements in music production, engineering, and songwriting, reflecting the significant contributions made by those who work behind the scenes to make music sound its best. Categories like Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, and Best Remixed Recordings are key to this celebration.
