Senior defenseman Bryce Babich has been a 4-year
starter for the boys’ lacrosse
team and is now one of the
major leaders of the defense
going into the 2025 season.
After helping win the Group
1 State Championship last
season, the team lost two very
important defensive pieces;
Aidan Peterson and Caden
Kirst. This season, Bryce
will have to step up and lead
the younger guys to success.
Outside of lacrosse, Bryce
played for the Bernards
Hockey team up through his
sophomore year, where he
eventually quit to focus on
lacrosse. He will be continu-
ing to play lacrosse at Ham-
ilton College, a Division
III college in Clinton, NY.
Although captains have
not completely been an-
nounced yet for the season,
Bryce is a major leader for
the team, which has been
a very enjoyable experi-
ence for him through these
frst few weeks of prac-
tice. Good luck to Bryce
and the lacrosse team as
they try and take home an-
other Group Championship!

Senior Catcher Matt Falzarano is looking forward to
his last ever season with Bernards Baseball. After a 9-13
season last year, Matt looks
to continue to improve and
win as many games as possible this year. Matt feels that
something about the culture
is different this year. “Every-
one is super close and wants
the team to succeed,” he
says. After this season, Matt
will head to Kean University in Union where he will
continue playing baseball.
Matt is a captain of the
team this year, and he enjoys
having a large responsibility
and guiding the underclass-
men on the team to success.
Outside of baseball, Matt
enjoys spending time with
his friends and family and
working out. He has been
playing baseball his entire
life and wants to continue
to play for as long as he can.
Matt was additionally a
star on the freshman basket-
ball team back in the day, but
he chose to leave his playing time to other talent and
focus strictly on baseball.
