Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s ongoing legal drama has made headlines for weeks. The tension stems from allegations Blake Lively has made against Baldoni, which include claims of sexual harassment and boundary violations during the filming of “It Ends with Us”, a romantic drama based on the popular book.
It all started back in December 2024 when Blake Lively filed a formal complaint accusing Justin Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment.
Lively claimed Baldoni made “inappropriate comments”, and even went as far as to allegedly improvise an unscripted kiss during a scene, which she says she did not consent to. Lively also alleges that Baldoni and the film’s producers tried to smear her name with a PR campaign to discredit her. She claimed they “weaponized a digital army” against her.
According to Justin, Blake Lively made him wait for hours in the basement before the film’s premiere, refusing to allow him to attend the event. The reasoning behind the decision? Lively ‘allegedly’ didn’t want Baldoni there, with sources suggesting that she was uncomfortable with his presence given their past interactions on set.
But that wasn’t the only detail to come out in recent weeks. Allegations have emerged that Lively and Baldoni had exchanged flirtatious messages during the filming of the movie. In one exchange, Baldoni complimented Lively, saying, “I like sentimental Blake.” She jokingly said, “Never met her.” When Baldoni said, “I also like a–hole Blake… don’t worry,” Lively laughed it off: “I’ve met her. So have my suppositories.”
In some of the text exchanges, Lively allegedly acknowledged her feelings of unease with the situation but also praised his professionalism.
Naturally, the allegations sparked a response from Baldoni’s camp, with his team denying any wrongdoing. They slammed the accusations as “completely false” and “outrageous” in an official statement, even going so far as to sue “The New York Times” for publishing a report about the claims. The stakes only got higher when, in February 2025, Lively filed an amended complaint, adding further claims of defamation and producing new evidence from other women on set who say they were also uncomfortable with Baldoni’s behavior.
One “It Ends with Us” fan, Bianca DoSantos, shared her thoughts with us. “this movie looked horrible from the beginning, the outfits and actors sucked ” she said. “I think what Justin is saying is true.”
However, not everyone feels the same. “I don’t know what to believe,” said Nathan Ohlson, another fan. “There are two sides to every story, and right now, I think it’s all about who’s telling the truth.”
It Ends with Us may have started as a story about love, but for now, it’s become the story of a legal battle that has everyone talking. Until then, all we can do is watch as the drama continues to unfold.
