Softball:
The girls softball team had an amazing year last year, with a season record of 18-7 after losing in the final round of the group 2, section 2 final. The girls are looking to have another great season this year even after losing a big part of their team in the graduated class of ‘24.
Gracie Mongno ‘27 says one thing about this year that is great for the team is “the energy of the team, [they] get along well and work nicely together, and it makes softball a fun and comfortable environment.”
The ‘25 seniors Marley Beers, Olivia O’Leary, Lauren Bury, and Abby Sebastion are looking to have a great season in their last one playing here at Bernards.
The girls started off the season 0-2 after losing two close games to a good Bridgewater-Raritan team. Coach Falzarano, also looking forward to the season, says a big difference this year from last is that in his eyes,“this team has a closer relationship with each other which should make the ability to improve and support each other easier.”
His main goals are “to grow together as a team that shows resilience, grit, and growth in ability and understanding.”
Captain Matty Stefani ‘25 says “with the right focus and energy every day, I think this season could turn out to be successful and fun.”
