Bunny Campbell
President
Bunny Campbell is running for the position of the class of 2016 President. She is eager to raise the bar for fundraising in order to have cheap prom tickets and free caps and gowns for graduation. Bunny said, “I love to be involved and want to make our prom and Mr. BHS great successes. She is running for class president because she “loves planning” and wants the class of 2016 to have an amazing senior year. Bunny runs cross country and spring track and is a member of the spirit club. As someone who loves all of the school events and is very organized, Bunny feels like there is always room for improvement.
Paul Casella
President
Paul Casella is running for President for the senior class next year. Paul said, “The people in my class are the only reason I am running. I care about them and their happiness more than anything and I want what is best for them.” Some of Paul’s goals include creating the best possible senior year for his class and allowing more voices to be heard. He is apart of the fencing team, Harvard Model Congress, and is a pending Eagle Scout. Paul was also recently accepted to be a peer leader next year. He hopes to have everyone’s opinions to be valued and believes he is the best person for this position next year.
Christiane Krimmel
Vice President
Christiane Krimmel is running for the position of Vice President for the class of 2016. The past few year at Bernards, Christiane has been involved with Project Giggles, tennis, and swimming. Outside of the high school she volunteers with disabled children through Mane Stream. Christiane said, “I really care about everyone’s opinions and know I can make a change.” She is motivated and wants to make her senior year fun for everyone. Christiane also said, “I want to run because I feel like I am able to represent our class.” She plans to raise a lot of money for her senior prom and other events as well. Christiane is dedicated to what she does and will not let anyone down.
Marshall Hespe
Vice President
Marshall Hespe, the current Vice President of the junior class, is running for re-election. Working under current Junior Class President, Dina Rosin, Marshall helped plan and organize the Junior Prom, which many know was a success. Similarly Marshall was involved in the countless bake sales at home football games and the sale of candy grams to help raise money for the junior class. Marshall said he and Dina “together we were able to produce the ultimate product” for the junior class, but is “looking forward to encountering a new perspective with whomever may be the new elected Junior Class President”. Ultimately, Marshall said he is running for re-election as he believes he is what is best for the junior class, as well as believing he is “an accurate representation of the student body”.
Ellie Khademi
Treasurer
Running unopposed, Ellie Khademi will be the Class of 2016’s Treasurer for the third year. Ellie became the class’s treasurer her sophomore year of high school and has since been helping to fundraiser for the current junior class. Although Ellie dedicates generous amounts of time to Student Government, she is also a member of both the Track and Cross Country team and the Green Team. She also has been a Peer Leader since her sophomore year at Bernards, and recently was elected by her peers to be a 2015-2016 Board Member of Peer Leaders. Ellie is looking forward to continuing her fundraising efforts to ensure a successful and enjoyable senior year for her classmates and similarly is looking forward to working with the other elected members to the Junior Class Officers.
Jenny Chong
Recording Secretary
Jenny Chong is running for the Recording Secretary position for the Junior Class Officers. Over her last three years at Bernards, she has been involved in countless activities including the American Red Cross Club, Math and Chem League, as well as the fencing team. Jenny said that she wants to be more involved during her senior year, and this is one way she plans on doing so. To fundraise for the class, she hopes she will be able to assist in the 3rd annual Mr. BHS Pageant as well as sell candy grams for holidays. Overall, Jenny said she is “excited to work with the other class officers to have the most memorable, last school year”.
Sophia Campbell
Corresponding Secretary
Sophia Campbell is running unopposed for re-election as a class officer Corresponding Secretary. Since freshman year, Sophia has had the role of Corresponding Secretary for the class of 2016. Sophia said, “I really enjoy planning prom, events, fundraisers, and being involved.” She is currently in Harvard Model Congress, National Honor Society, and plays soccer. Sophia was also recently elected to be the student council Corresponding Secretary. Some of her goals include raising a lot of money for her class and having a nice and fun prom.
