Francesca Porambo, a junior at Bernards High School recently set a personal record for pole vaulting at 12’0.5”. For pole vaulting, she is number two overall for the state of New Jersey, and number eleven for the United States.
“Francesca is an outstanding athlete, and never fails to impress me with what she can do,” said coach Carmon of the BHS field team. As spring sports are just beginning, Francesca will compete primarily in the pole vaulting event for Bernards.
Having recently completed a strong winter field season, she should have good momentum coming into the spring season. Francesca is looking to beat her fall personal record of 12’0.5” this spring. She is truly an exciting athlete to watch, and will continue to impress this spring, as well as next year.
