Upon the release of Framing Britney Spears, the media has been obsessed with investigating the life of Britney Spears. The main concern being with her mental, physical, and emotional health. People fear that her father has too much power over her life, following the very public mental breakdown Spears experienced in 2008. Since then, she has been living under a conservatorship with her father, Jamie, as the “conservator.”
The California Courts mandated this conservatorship due to Britney being deemed unfit to care for herself and the managing of her finances, especially being under such public spotlight. A conservatorship is appointed a legal guardian or protector to be responsible for anything the conservatee is incapable of doing on their own. Mandated by court, her conservatorship was required to be kept under wraps and especially out of the eye of the media, but Britney recently had her lawyer file documents requesting that portions of her conservatorship are open to the public, TMZ writes.
Britney’s family has spoken on this issue many times. Her brother, Bryan Spears, explains that “all we can do is hope for the best,” in an interview on Drew Plotkin’s As NOT Seen on TV podcast.
Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s sister, has made various posts on social media in hopes to quiet down alleged rumors that their families were not supporting Britney enough throughout her dreadful mental health journey. “…you know how important it is to respect the situation with privacy for the person, and the family trying to protect their loved ones, no matter how it may appear to the public, and as the public we must learn to do the same,” publicly posted on Jamie Lynn’s Instagram account.
Why is this important? Well, to keep it plain and simple, Britney Spears’ life is at stake. People all across the world fear to soon witness a derail yet again, due to the new publicity caught from her documentary Framing Britney Spears. Bringing more awareness to her current condition is important and could potentially save her from what has now become a very toxic relationship between Britney and her micromanaging father.
