The Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football League. The best teams compete to win the title of the 2023 (or any year) Super Bowl champion. But the game isn’t the only highlight of what happens.
The halftime show, the Puppy Bowl, and the commercials are just a few of the main things that people enjoy watching on the day of the Super Bowl.
This year, different commercial trends gleamed throughout the Super Bowl game, from funny to super sad commercials. Some commercials that represent these trends were the ‘Avocados from Mexico’ commercial, which showed how much Eve would’ve been better off if he chose an avocado rather than an apple. This commercial showed the more funny side of the Super Bowl 2023 commercials.
To reach the viewers’ more emotional side, The Farmer’s Dog – Forever commercial, was about a girl and her Chocolate lab, showing a 60 second preview of what their life was about togther. A quote from a USA Today reporter said, “This commercial set viewers up for a jarring conclusion,” concluding that this commercial set people up to feel shocked, and made them think, “What’s gonna happen next?”
One of the most popular commercials that people really enjoyed was the Popeyes Commercial, starring Dieunerst Collin, aka the, “Popeyes Meme Kid.” Another popular commercial that people loved was the Dunkin’ – Dunkin’ “Drive Through.” This commercial starred the famous Jennifer Lopez and Ben Afflack, who is an American actor and filmmaker and the star of this commercial; and there are many more commercials that people loved.
A commercial that caused some controversy this year was the “Breaking Good” Popcorners commercial. Breaking Bad is regarded as one of the most acclaimed shows in history. The slogan for this commercial was, “The snack you’re forced to eat on planes.” People think that this ad discolored the show’s reputation because it showed how a popcorn snack is a substitute for pretzels when flight attendants are out of them. This led people to think, “What does this even have to do with the show?” and, “This makes no sense.”
This commercial was badly put together and seemed almost rushed because a lot of viewers didn’t understand the true meaning behind this commercial. The price limit for each commercial in 2022 was 036;8 million dollars. But this year, it was raised about another 036;500,000 because the directors wanted to come out with a bang this year for each commercial and wanted them to be better than ever.
In a nutshell, it was another great year for the Super Bowl commercials like usual.
