The Junior Prom, taking place on April 21, 2023, was a huge success. The prom generated almost the entire Junior class’ turnout, as well as many students taken as dates from other grades. The dance was a huge success, with the number of students attempting to buy tickets exceeding the venue’s maximum capacity by over thirty people.
The Junior class has given amazing feedback on the event, too. Ashley Hartnett ‘24 shared that she had an amazing time with her peers, telling that “it was a very fun and memorable time for all! [She] enjoyed getting crazy on the dance floor.”
Other students, such as Hailey Bosworth ‘24, also shared that the prom was amazingly put together, and that everyone’s outfits and ensembles were amazing.
The function took place at the Basking Ridge Country Club. The students were served salmon, chicken parm, penne vodka, and several other h’orderves, with cookies and brownies for dessert.
The venue included a DJ and a large dance floor, where students showed off their best moves for the majority of the night.
Junior class Corresponding Secretary, Josie Carifa ‘24, reflected on the event by saying that “It was so much fun seeing all my friends together at prom,” proceeding to also share that she thinks herself and the rest of the student council did an amazing job at coordinating the event. She also says that “It was really exciting being able to organize the prom and then see it come to life.”
The Junior class officers have spent the last several months preparing and coordinating the event, which had immaculate turnout. All of the tables were filled with students and everyone had a fantastic time!
