This summer, musical artist Taylor Swift took the music industry by storm with The Eras Tour, a three-hour journey of her musical eras over the past seventeen years of her successful career. Now the tour will not only appear in stadiums and arenas all across the world, but in theaters across North America on October 13th.

It’s no secret that getting to her tour was no easy job, as attendees mostly likely survived the Ticketmaster strife (or “The Great War” as most Swifties would say), last November as the site was breaking down and people kept getting sent back to the queue on the first day of presale last year. Though many fans were in despair when they were not fortunate enough to secure tickets to the actual tour, they now have the opportunity to experience the show of the summer on the big screen. Swift encouraged “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing, and dancing” at the theaters, just as attendees at the actual concert have done.

On August 31st, Swift announced The Eras Tour concert film coming to AMC theaters on October 13th, and for what might have been the first time ever, created a queue on the AMC website as well. According to Deadline, $65 million in advance tickets have already been sold, and opening weekend could be $100 million.

Some films have changed their release dates due to Swift’s film. The horror film The Exorcist: Believer is set to premiere on October 13th, but Universal Studios moved the release date up to October 6th, according to movieweb. While Barbenheimer ruled the theaters this summer, The Eras Tour Film is ready to rule the fall.

In the Netflix documentary Miss Americana, Swift says that she “want[s] to work really hard while society is still tolerating [her] being successful”. Swift was 30 at the time and had no idea what was in store for her. Six more albums (three of which are rerecords) with more on the way, and a tour that will undoubtedly go down in history.

In 2016, most of the world was against Taylor Swift, with  #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty as the number one trend on Twitter. Now, the unstoppable artist has created what is arguably the best party ever, as fans all over the world have and will continue to dance, sing, cry, and laugh at her concert, or experience incomparable joy in theaters.
